Long post while we continue to wait....

Yes, that's right, still no baby yet. 13 days to go and not a single sign that we're getting closer.
We had a great weekend though.
Friday night we had a doctor's appointment. We were her last appointment of the day and ended up waiting over an hour.... but it paid off because she rewarded us with extra pictures on the 4-D machine. Of course the baby had it's hand in front of it's face again! What a stubborn / shy child! We did finally get a couple of pictures of the face. (No, they won't be posted.) Our baby weighs about 7 lbs 1 oz and has a chubby little face. The doctor claims that she hasn't peeked at the gender yet either, that she likes to be surprised too. I'm not sure about that, but at least she hasn't slipped and told us!
We met Fred's parents for dinner at McGrath's - it was great to catch up with them and it's always nice to see Fred chat with his dad about tools. After dinner Fred & I went on a bit of a shopping spree! Actually we had a few duplicate items to return from the baby showers and then used our giftcards we received to get everything we still needed.
Saturday we had saved for our "Last Childless Date Day". Fred made pancakes for breakfast and we went to Ogden for a tractor show (I agreed to go as bribery for him to go to the spa with me later). We stopped at Babies R'us to finish a little shopping- it finally feels like our shopping is done---- at least of what we can think of that we'll need. I took a quick nap & Fred researched cloth diapers. :} Next was a couples massage at the spa! It was very relaxing and fun to have Fred with me. We went to see "The Proposal", tried a new restaurant, and relaxed at home.
Finally- I'm also posting a picture of our cradle! Fred's dad built it when Fred's oldest sister was born. I made the new bedding a couple of weeks ago. We can't wait to use it..... but I guess we have to keep waiting. Cross your fingers that the baby comes by July 31st! :}

Mr. Domestic

Okay, so I'm usually so opposed to people saying how they have the best husband in the world, but....
Last night I had to stay late at work. I text Fred to tell him I hadn't left yet, to which he responded "But whyyyyyyyyyyy" :}
I told him he could bribe me home faster if he made dinner! I left work and called to check on my dinner. He said it was in the oven. I always question when I hear noises in the background like he's still doing something in the kitchen. He said he was cooking. "I thought you said dinner was in the oven?" Finally I got him to confess that dinner was baking and he was making a second batch to put in the freezer for after the baby comes. Seriously?
Domestic and thoughtful? Amazing!

What will "it" look like?

First of all- I know it seems harsh to call our baby "it" but, since we don't know.... for 5 more weeks!
With all the doctor appointments we're starting to have, we've been able to see a partial face. (No, I still won't post a picture.) Our child is determined that we not really see it's face until it's here - we usually end up with an elbow on one side and a hand on the other. Last time we saw it's little rounded nose and the doctor was trying to guess who's nose it was, mine or Fred's. So, I thought I'd put up both of our baby pictures and let people try to guess what features our baby will get from each of us.

I have to say that neither of us had features that really stood out as a baby. Maybe that's a good thing for the baby!

Not finished, not ready... but getting closer.

Yeah! Less than 10 weeks left!!!!!!
So the nursery is finally at a happy place.... We're definitely not ready for the baby to come yet, but the nursery is. This weekend Fred hung shelves & I finished the crib bumper. I think the only thing I have left to do in the room is finish the mobile - which I have to say was my killer find. I wanted a mobile, but not bad enough to spend any kind of money on. We were in the D.I. looking for a stool & I found a crib mobile for $3. It was pink, but a little spray paint & leftover fabric it matches perfectly. I made a star & moon to hang from it and found a tiny stuffed lamb, I need one more thing for the last side. Fred insists we need to put a cow on it. :}

Fred's been a really good sport. He recovered the rocking chair for me, hung shelves, and even helped fold the new baby clothes after we washed them. It was very entertaining for me to watch him try to fold tiny outfits. Watching him be a dad is going to be as much fun as the past 9 years with him- an adventure every day! He's going to be great, as long I can get him to not spoil the baby too much.

Has anyone seen this missing person?

Oh where oh where has my little husband gone? :}
(Sad isn’t it that my most recent picture is from Easter…. I’ll have to work on that. )

Last seen: Monday morning 7am.
Destination: St. George to go ant hunting (more details later)

Option 1: He doesn't have cell phone service where he is.
Option 2: I need to make cookies so he can smell his way home.
Option 3: He's JUST that into his Ant Hunting that he doesn't want to stop.
